Maj. Gen. John C. Andonie, Commanding General (Interim) of the D.C. National Guard, joined members of the DCNG State Partnership Program (SPP), and the Burkina Faso Armed Forces for a tour of Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Station 40, in Fairfax, Va., on Feb. 28, 2025. As part of an Emergency Operations Subject Matter Expert Exchange (SMEE), members gained insight into advanced fire suppression, emergency medical response, technical rescue, hazardous materials management, and water rescue operations.
