Kiyoshi Yamane, 374th Logistics Readiness Squadron identification and condition verifier, gives a brief to U.S. Air Force 374th LRS and Japan Air Self-Defense Force members during a bilateral subject matter expert exchange of the aerial bulk fuel delivery system in the petroleum, oil, and lubricants compound at Yokota Air Base, Japan, Feb. 21, 2025. The ABFDS is a mobile system used to quickly deliver large quantities of fuel to remote or forward operating bases, supporting airlift and mobility operations. It enables rapid fuel distribution to aircraft or ground storage, ensuring sustained operations in areas without traditional refueling infrastructure.
