A truck loaded with fire debris in the foothills of Altadena is covered with tarps before making its way to a landfill on Feb. 20, 2025. During removal of debris from properties in the fire-affected areas, USACE ensures each truck is lined in thick black plastic. Once the debris is loaded into the bed of the truck, the plastic is wrapped over the debris, and the truck bed is covered by an additional tarp to secure the load en route to a landfill.
