Taylor, a 79S Career Counselor and the USARPAC senior retention operations non-commissioned officer, briefs Soldiers competing in this year’s FY25 USARPAC Career Counselor of the Year competition, on the mystery event for the written exam Feb. 23, 2025. The event tests their knowledge, capabilities, and skillset as career counselors. The winner of the competition will go on to represent Team USARPAC in April at the Head Quarters Department of Army. The Army host competitions like this to recognize and highlight the exceptional skills, dedication, and professionalism of career counselors highlighting their important role in guiding soldiers through their careers, helping with reenlistment, career development, and overall retention.
