Roger Turner, commanding general, III Marine Expeditionary Force awarded Sgt. Valdez with the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for his expertise in the Joint Travel Regulations which resulted in VMM-268’s Defense Travel System and Government Travel Charge Card programs passing both the 2023 and 2025 Commanding General's Readiness Inspection with zero discrepancies.
