(Jan. 29, 2025) – Electronics Technician 1st Class Aaron Mickelson, from State College, Pennsylvania, assigned to Combat Systems Department, Division 9 (CS-9), organizes and issues hierarchical yet dynamically reprogrammable architectures (HYDRA) radios for the first time aboard the Ford-class aircraft carrier Pre-Commissioning Unit John F. Kennedy (CVN 79). John F. Kennedy is the second Ford-class aircraft carrier and is under construction at HII’s Newport News Shipbuilding (NNS) division in Newport News, Virginia.
