Before the kickoff of the Africa Forum, U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) Chaplains hosted an ice breaker with Chiefs of Chaplains from 11 African countries, General Green, U.S. Army Chief of Chaplains and other leaders. The AFRICOM hosted Africa Forum took place before the beginning of the International Military Chiefs of Chaplains Conference (IMCCC) 2025 which brings together several hundred Chaplains from over 40 countries in Brussels, Belgium.
The International Military Chiefs of Chaplains Conference (IMCCC) began in 1990 to unite senior military chaplains in supporting those affected by combat; today, it strengthens international relations, enhances spiritual care, advises commanders on religion in theater, and promotes religious freedom—now including dozens of countries, with IMCCC 2025 hosting 200 participants from 43 nations.
