Gunnery Sgt. Juan Ospina and U.S. Army Sgt. Diego Smith, Joint Task Force Civil Support operations directorate noncommissioned officers, perform quality assurance checks on deployable equipment during work area staging operations conducted here March 12, 2013. These checks ensure that JTF-CS is mission capable and ready to respond in the event of a chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear incident in the homeland. JTF-CS provides command and control for Department of Defense CBRN response forces to assist local, state, federal and tribal partners in saving lives, preventing further injury and providing critical support to enable community recovery.
