Bruno, K9 service dog, and his handler, Lauren Dale, Los Angeles County Fire Department, offer peer support services for California Army National Guard members and peers at the Chaplain Summit, Rose Bowl Stadium, Calif., Jan. 17, 2025. The Chaplain Summit and the animal peer support team provide support services to Guard members and peers working on the LA wildfire response mission. During this state emergency, Cal Guard members provided aerial firefighting support, handcrew type 1 and 2 capabilities on the fires, and assisted on security and traffic control for local and state agencies.
