U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Cameron Lewis, a small unmanned aerial system operator with 4th Marines, 3d Marine Division, prepares a RQ-20B Puma for flight during Artillery Relocation Training Program 24.3 at Ojojihara Maneuver Area, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan, Nov. 29, 2024. Unmanned aircraft provide enhanced situational awareness, quick resupply capabilities, and reduce the footprint of military personnel. The skills developed at ARTP increase the proficiency and readiness of the only permanently forward-deployed artillery unit in the Marine Corps, enabling them to provide indirect fires. Lewis is forward deployed in the Indo-Pacific under 4th Marines, 3d Marine Division as part of the Unit Deployment Program. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. William Wallace)
