Retired U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Dale Maratas, a life support investigator and member of the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency's Recovery Team 24-4VN, uses the wet-screening station to sort through dirt during a recovery mission in northern Vietnam, Aug. 29, 2024. The team, which included members from each U.S. military branch and was aided by 50-150 Vietnamese locals daily, conducted recovery efforts from July to August 2024 for a downed pilot from the Vietnam War in 1969.
