U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Michael Makaryk, commander assigned to the 757th Aircraft Maintenance and Staff Sgt. Cody Kruzel, an avionics specialist assigned to the 757th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, stand at attention during an Air and Space Commendation medal ceremony at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada, Nov. 26, 2024. Kruzel was presented the award for his heroic actions while stationed at Osan Air Base, South Korea. Airman Kruzel successfully rescued a Republic of Korea Air Force Airman, bringing him safely ashore and stabilizing him then hailed emergency personnel to the location.
