U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Col. Frank Mastromauro and Sgt. Maj. Joshua Henderson visit with Ko Tsuruya, the deputy mayor of Shikama, Miyagi during a local mayor’s visit for Artillery Relocation Training Program 24.3 in the Miyagi Prefecture, Japan, Nov. 27, 2024. The visit allowed battalion leadership and local officials to discuss the upcoming ARTP and deepen relationships. Mastromauro, a native of Massachusetts, is the commanding officer of 3d Battalion, 12th Marines, 3d Marine Division and Henderson, a native of Texas, is the 3/12 senior enlisted leader.
