U.S. Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Jordan Cooper, a Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) short term individual augmentee (STIA), stands with locals for a photo during a recovery mission in the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Nov. 14, 2024. DPAA investigative and recovery teams work closely with local workers in order to excavate sites in hopes to recover unaccounted-for personnel from the Vietnam War.
