Airmen from the 2nd Civil Engineer Squadron completed the construction of a new airfield perimeter fence as part of ongoing modernization efforts to improve infrastructure at Barksdale Air Force base, La., Nov. 8, 2024. Vegetation had taken over the prior airfield perimeter fence and the new upgraded fence helps minimize the potential for future vegetation, prevents wildlife infiltration, and assists with the overall enhancement of airfield security.
