U.S. Army Soldiers from the 5th Battalion, 4th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, competed in the 52nd Air Defense Artillery Brigade Soldier, Noncommissioned Officer (NCO), and Officer of the Year competition in Ansbach, Germany, Nov. 19-21, 2024. Spc. Samson Lee, Sgt. Keivon Arooji, and 2nd Lt. Dominic Bann represented the battalion, participating in a series of challenging events designed to test their physical and mental capabilities. The competition included a Ranger fitness test, land navigation, medical proficiency, chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) defense tasks, communications operations, weapons handling, a 12-mile ruck march, an M4 carbine qualification range, an obstacle course, and multiple surprise challenges.
