U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Byron Ryce, 16th Military Police Brigade current operations sergeant, receives an award from Col. Charcillea Schaefer, 16th Military Police Brigade commander and director of emergency services, during a retirement ceremony at Fort Liberty, North Carolina, Nov. 21, 2024. He enlisted in the Army as a Military Police Soldier on Jan. 2, 2001, and completed One Station Unit Training at Ft.
