Deputy Under Secretary of the Army Mario Diaz delivers the keynote address for the Installment Ceremony of Dr. Michael Cao, Mayor of the City of Arcadia, at Santa Anita Park, Arcadia, Calif., Aug. 1, 2024. Mayor Cao was installed as President of the Los Angeles County Division of the League of California Cities, composed of the 86 cities of Los Angeles County of over 11 million residents. The League is a public service organization dedicated to advocacy and education to enhance the quality of life for their constituents. At the ceremony, local and state elected officials and public servants from over 60 cities gathered to bid outgoing President Bea Dieringer goodbye and welcome the installment of Mayor Michael Cao as president.
