Sgt. 1st Class Daniel Garcia, the non-commissioned officer in charge for the west region of Task Force Secure Front, explains to one of his group leaders the vehicle distribution for that night's mission. On Jan. 15, the Puerto Rico National Guard initiated a state mobilization, Operation TFSF, in which troops will conduct surveillance missions in conjunction with the Puerto Rico Police Department and other state and federal agencies around ports and shorelines. The intent of these missions is to reduce drug trafficking, and other illegal activities across the island.
