More citizen-soldiers from the Puerto Rico National Guard where called to keep reinforcing the watch alongside the Puerto Rico Police Department over our coasts. Troops from the PRNG began the necessary trainings in compliance with the executive order signed by the governor of Puerto Rico on Jan. 3, 2013. The operation, Operation Task Force Secure Front, is a joint effort from local, military and federal agencies. These trainings took place at Camp Santiago Joint Maneuver Training Center in Salinas, Puerto Rico, and covered use of force, how to assist on warrant, applicable laws, and marine terminology among others.
