Maj. Gen. Peter Chiarelli, commanding general, 1st Cavalry Division answers questions posed by members of both local and foreign news agencies during a press conference held at Camp Victory, Baghdad, Aug. 8. The purpose of the press conference was to clarify the coalition's position regarding the recent eruption of fighting in Sadr City between insurgents loyal to cleric Muqtada Al-Sadr and coalition forces. Chiarellis emphasized the loss of 15,000 local jobs and the disruption in infrastucture repairs as a result of the violence that was initiated by the insurgents.
