YOKOSUKA, Japan (October 27, 2024) - Volunteers from the base community participated in the 45th Annual Yokosuka Mikoshi Parade Sunday, October 27 in downtown Yokosuka. Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY) Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) coordinated the base volunteer effort to carry the installation's custom mikoshi through Yokosuka's Chuo-odori, or Blue Street. The CFAY volunteers were one of 50 teams either parading omikoshi or playing taiko and other traditional musical instruments in the city's largest annual event. (U.S. Navy photo by James Kimber)
