Robert Pesapane, Director of the Public Assistance (PA) Division of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) talks with Maj. Matt Westcott, Deputy District Commander, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District at a home that a Blue Roof was placed.
Westcott is leading Operation Blue Roof which is a priority mission managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) for FEMA. The goal of the Blue Roof program is to provide homeowners in disaster areas with fiber-reinforced, industrial-strength sheeting to protect storm-damaged roofs until homeowners can make permanent repairs.
