Matt Westcott, Deputy District Commander, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District talks with Robert Pesapane, Director of the Public Assistance (PA) Division of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and with residents that recently had a Blue Roof installed in Sarasota, Florida.
    Operation Blue Roof which is a priority mission managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) for FEMA. The goal of the Blue Roof program is to provide homeowners in disaster areas with fiber-reinforced, industrial-strength sheeting to protect storm-damaged roofs until homeowners can make permanent repairs.
