U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to 17th Field Artillery Brigade, fire cannons during the I Corps Change of Command Ceremony, on Oct. 25, 2024, at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. The firing of the cannons was to salute the incoming Commanding General of America’s First Corps, U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Matthew W. Macfarlane, and the outgoing Commanding General of America’s First Corps, U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Xavier Brunson.
