U.S Marine Corps MV-22B Ospreys taxi down the runway Feb. 21 at Wing 41 Royal Thai Air Force Base in Chiang Mai province, Kingdom of Thailand. The aircraft transported senior U.S. military leaders to Ban Dan Lan Hoi, Sukothai province, to attend a combined arms live-fire exercise, which is the culminating event of exercise Cobra Gold 2013. As the largest multinational exercise in the Asia-Pacific region, CG 13 has demonstrated the commitment of partner nations to enhancing interoperability of military forces, strengthening of regional relationships, and the promotion of security and cooperation within the region. The Osprey aircraft are assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 265, Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force, forward based in Okinawa Japan.
