U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Darius Jones, 802d Security Forces Squadron military working dog handler, prepares a syringe to treat a canine medical training manikin as his teammates provide care during a pre-deployment emergency veterinary care skills training at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston, Texas, Oct. 15, 2024. Fort Sam Houston Veterinary Treatment Facility animal care specialists tested the MWD handlers with a series of possible deployment scenarios, focusing on quick and effective medical treatment of injured MWDs with limited assistance and supplies.
