The District of Columbia National Guard State Partnership Program (SPP) welcomed members of the Burkina Faso Armed Forces to the National Capital Region for a Public Affairs Subject Matter Expert Exchange (SMEE), Sept. 12, 2024. The visit enhanced shared knowledge in strategic communications, information management, and crisis communication. The four-day SMEE also included meetings with senior leaders, PA section leads, and a visit to the D.C. Air National Guard's Recruitment Office to discuss initiatives and techniques associated with recruitment and retention, and community and government relations.
