Leadership from both the Naval Medicine Readiness Training Command Corpus Christi and Naval Medicine Readiness Training Unit San Antonio prepare to cut a ribbon during the NMRTU San Antonio ribbon cutting ceremony on Joint Base San Antonio, Texas, Sept. 30, 2024. The cutting of the ribbon signified the change from a detachment to a full-fledge unit based out of JBSA - FSH. The unit will handle all United States Navy personnel going through JBSA - FSH for training and readiness. Additionally, they work with the Wounded Warrior project; Wounded, Ill & Injured; and Navy Safe Harbor while also providing staff to Budge Dental Clinic, Troop Medical and the Armed Services Blood Program at Joint Base San Antonio - Lackland, Texas.
