FORT INDIANTOWN GAP, Pa. – About a dozen local government officials from Lebanon, Dauphin and Schuylkill counties attended a breakfast briefing Oct. 2 at the Fort Indiantown Gap Community Club to learn about what goes on at the installation. After welcoming them, garrison commander Col. Kevin Potts introduced the newly appointed acting Adjutant General of Pennsylvania, Brig. Gen. John R. Pippy, who provided brief remarks about the mission here and took a few questions. Additional briefers included Lt. Col. Adam Love, Fort Indiantown Gap’s director of Public Works; Todd Eakin, Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs’ environmental director; and Daryl Valley, DMVA’s environmental supervisor. They were also invited to watch a demonstration of Fort Indiantown Gap’s Fire and Emergency services fire apparatus displays and a demonstration of an Aviation Rescue and Fire Fighting Truck and simulator.
