U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Ahmed Adediran, the Headquarters Company commander of Combat Logistics Battalion 31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, gives a speech during a CLB-31 company standup ceremony, on Camp Hansen, Japan, Sept. 26, 2024. The standup ceremony formalized CLB-31’s commitment to the expectations illustrated in Force Design 2030, by activating two new companies for a total of four to evenly distribute its responsibilities and logistical capabilities as smaller, more expeditionary effective units for future operations and patrols. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premiere crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region. Adediran is a native of Florida. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Christopher Lape)
