Frank and Chrys Kestler plan to build a retreat for veterans and their families near Magdalena on their ranch in remembrance of their son, Army 1st Lt. Joseph J. Theinert, who was killed by an improvise explosive device on June 4, 2012, in Afghanistan. Behind them is an architects plans for the retreat, the Strongpoint Theinert Ranch.
