NAVAL AIR STATION SIGONELLA, Sicily (Sep. 11, 2024) Utilitiesman 1st Class Kevin Jackson from McKinney, Texas, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 1 deployed under 22nd Naval Construction Regiment (NCR), constructs a 305 tent for Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Europe, Detachment Maritime Ashore Support Team command post exercise onboard Naval Air Station Sigonella, Sicily, Sep. 11, 2024. NMCB 1 is forward deployed under 22 NCR in support of Commander, Task Force 68, which executes command and control of assigned Navy Expeditionary Combat Forces across the 6th Fleet across the U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa area of operations, in support of U.S. Sixth Fleet maritime operations to defend U.S., allied, and partner interests.
