Soldiers with the Uganda people's defence force overtake an obstacle during a timed squad competition at Forward Operating Location Kasenyi, Uganda, April 2, 2008. The soldiers are training with members of the 1st Battalion, 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard), deployed from Ft. Myer, Va. The timed squad competition requires the UPDF soldiers to demonstrate their ability along a 5.4 mile course providing medical care in the field, plotting five terrain features on a map, calling in a "Nine Line" report, giving a S.A.L.U.T.E. report, as well as completing an obstacle course and conducting a stress shoot on the range.
