Community leaders and National Military Representatives from several NATO nations laid ceremonial wreaths at the Cuesmes-monument à La Malogne to pay respect and commemorate the 79th International Day of Resistance at La Malogne in Mons, Belgium, Sept. 14, 2024. The ceremony paid homage to the heroic efforts and sacrifices of Belgian Resistance fighters in the Mons area during World War II while also observing the significance of other allied efforts during the war.
