YOKOSUKA, Japan (Sept. 19, 2024) — Marines with the U.S. Yokosuka Naval Base place flowers on a table to commemorate the fallen military service members during the annual Bells Across America For Fallen Service Members ceremony held at the Kosano Park onboard Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY). The ceremony, hosted in conjunction with the Navy Gold Star Program, honored the military service members who lost their lives while on active duty, and recognized the surviving family members. For more than 75 years, CFAY has provided, maintained, and operated base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet’s forward-deployed naval forces, tenant commands, and thousands of military and civilian personnel and their families.
