U.S. Marine Corps Col. Ryan Lynch, the current operations officer with II Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF), answers a question while being interviewed during MEF Exercise 24 (MEFEX 24), Marine Corps base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Sept. 12, 2024. MEFEX develops command and control capabilities and warfighting functions of the staff as a joint task force capable headquarters command in preparation for crisis across the spectrum of conflict.
