Sgt. 1st Class Nikki Lomonof, a saxophone player with the 1st Cavalry Division Band, performs new original music for the “Behind the Horizon” theatrical performance for the 80th Commemoration of the Operation Market Garden opening ceremony in North Brabant, Netherlands, Sept. 13, 2024. The performance took place at the Vlagheide near Eerde, the hill where 101st paratroopers landed Sept. 17, 1944. The Dutch commemorate Operation Market Garden with parades, reenactments and educational programs. These activities honor the bravery of both the soldiers and the civilians involved.
