U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Albert P. Gettings a former team leader with Fox Company, 2d Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2d Marine Division, is memorialized by 2d Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Sept. 5, 2024. Gettings gave his life in the performance of duties while engaged in combat operations in Operation Iraqi Freedom on January 5, 2006. The battalion created the Albert P.
