A U.S. Marine Corps MV-22B Osprey attached to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 165 (Reinforced), 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, takes off from Yeongcheon-ri, South Korea, Sept. 3, 2024, after inserting Marines assigned to Bravo Company, Battalion Landing Team 1/5, 15th MEU, for a simulated airfield seizure mission as part of exercise Ssang Yong 24. Exercise SY24 strengthens the Republic of Korea-U.S. Alliance through bilateral, joint training, contributing toward combined amphibious capability in defense of the Korean Peninsula.
