    U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Andres Bastidas, a maintenance advisor with 2nd Security Force Assistance Brigade, teaches a class to Mauritanian Army soldiers as part of a four-week training event in Nouakchott, Mauritania, Aug. 19, 2024. Running from July 24 - Aug. 22, 2024, the training brings together Mauritanian Army soldiers, U.S. Army advisors, and U.S. Army Civil Affairs soldiers from Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF) for the first time in history to conduct a variety of training including combat casualty care, maneuver tactics, techniques, and procedures, maintenance operations, and large-scale combat operations planning.
