A soldier with the Mauritanian Army participates in classroom instruction as part of a four-week training event designed to enhance partnership and shared understanding in Nouakchott, Mauritania, Aug. 19, 2024. Running from July 24 - Aug. 22, 2024, the training brings together Mauritanian Army soldiers, U.S. Army advisors from the 2nd Security Force Assistance Brigade, and U.S. Army Civil Affairs soldiers from Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF) for the first time in history to conduct a variety of training including combat casualty care, maneuver tactics, techniques, and procedures, and large-scale combat operations planning.
