The 3rd Infantry Division (3rd ID) is honored during a ceremony commemorating the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Montelimar, in Montelimar, France, Aug. 28, 2024. 3rd ID played a significant role in the liberation of the city during Operation Dragoon by successfully cutting off the German retreat routes through the Rhone Valley.
