Nina Kazibwe, security cooperation directorate, U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF), receives the Civilian Service Commendation Medal from U.S. Army Lt. Col. James Miller, international engagement chief, SETAF-AF, during an award ceremony at Caserma Del Din, Vicenza, Italy, Aug. 29, 2024. Kazibwe earned the award for her adaptability to changing circumstances and her outstanding leadership that contributed to the success of the African Land Forces Summit (ALFS). ALFS is a forum for senior leaders from land forces across Africa, the U.S. and other partner nations to solidify relationships, exchange information on current topics of mutual interest and to encourage cooperation in addressing challenges.
