U.S. Air Force Airmen and security forces augmentees assigned the 51st Fighter Wing return fire at simulated opposing forces during Ulchi Freedom Shield 24, at Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, Aug. 20, 2024. A High Mobility Mulitpurpose Wheeled Vechicle gunner provides a crucial line of defense by procuring surveillance, locating targets, and engaging opposing forces with lethal force. This combined exercise highlights the U.S. and Member States’ ironclad commitment to building a robust defense posture to defend the people of the ROK against a spectrum of security threats.
