Andrew Tombs, the chief executive officer of St. John Northern Territory speaks to U.S. Marines with Marine Rotational Force – Darwin 24.3 during an award ceremony recognizing 1st Sgt. Julian Munoz, the company first sergeant of Headquarters and Support Company, Combat Logistics Battalion 5 (Reinforced), MRF-D 24.3, and Gunnery Sgt. Steven Veliz, a communications chief, also with MRF-D 24.3, in Casuarina, NT, Australia, Aug. 22, 2024. Munoz and Veliz, along with a group of other bystanders, were awarded for their actions when Chris Trotter, a first aid trainer, suddenly experienced cardiac arrest and required immediate medical attention.
