A U.S. Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcon from Aviano Air Base’s 510th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron, receives fuel from a U.S. Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker from Fairchild Air Force Base’s 92nd Expeditionary Air Refueling Squadron, Aug. 8, 2024 over the U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) area of responsibility (AOR). The F-16 is a compact, highly-maneuverable, multi-role fighter aircraft, having proven itself in air-to-air combat and air-to-surface attack for over 40 years.
