U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Eli Lincoln, an infantry Marine with Battalion Landing Team 1/4, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, scans for threats during a forward arming and refueling point exercise at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Aug. 10, 2024. Two teams the ground combat element and the anti-air combat element set up to provide 360-degree security while conducting FARP operations. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of the America Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific Region.
