U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Cesar RiveroVelasco, Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) team sergeant, gives a brief of DPAA operations to Heather Variava, U.S. ambassador to the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Aug.13, 2024. RiveroVelasco supports each mission by organizing and managing the logistics and outlook on the execution of every mission. Since 1985, the United States and Lao governments have worked closely together to find and recover unaccounted-for American personnel.
