David Hanson, from Knoxville, Tennessee, explains ship navigation to Gustav Aitaro, Minister of State for the Republic of Palau, Dale Jenkins, minister of education of the Republic of Palau, Charles Obichang, Republic of Palau Minister of Public Infrastructure and Industries, and Eyos Rudimch, Governor of Koror State as part of a ship tour aboard U.S. 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19) during a scheduled port visit to Palau, Aug. 10, 2024. Blue Ridge is the oldest operational ship in the Navy and routinely operates with allies and partners in preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
